Top 5 Fashion Trends for Fall 2023
I love Fall fashion so very much! Getting to wear more clothes and more pieces and layer up is always a good thing. Lately, I’ve been in a minimalist mode, but that’s not to say I’m playing it safe. Elevating basics garments with eye-catching details is surprisingly impactful. It’s like a soft song that has a beautiful long note in it, those key statement designs stand out more than they would if the outfit was more boisterous. Sometimes less is more (and can be made more exciting with striking design elements).
These are my TOP 5 Fashion Trends for Fall 2023.
POP OF RED
For a long time, I never experimented with bright colors in Fall and Winter, but as time has gone by, I’ve realized just how stunning those can be. Red has captivated me lately, and it’s the statement color in The Lovely Orchard Fall Collection. Cherry red has an undeniable electricity to it, and by pairing it with calmer colors it can create a more unique picture. The colder months don’t have to be drab and dreary all the time, insert some color into your wardrobe.
MAXI SKIRTS
Maxi skirts are my everything and that will never change. I'll definitely be wearing an abundance of them this fall and they work well with so many different styles. I like wearing outfits that have vintage vibes as well as edgier looks and maxi skirts work for both. I like the idea of elevating them with bows, statement belts, and flaps to give the garment subtle dimensionality. the silhouette of a maxi skirt just can’t be beat.
FLATS
I used to wear flats all the time and I'm ready to get back to them. These shoes can be seen as simple and not as flashy as the many varieties of heeled shoes, but they can be just as effective when worn the right way. They can either blend seamlessly with the outfit, or they can be the pop of color if what you’re wearing is more muted. Add some straps or bejewel them for that extra elevation. The best part is that they’re so comfortable, and I believe that you don’t have to sacrifice comfort for style. You can have both!
OVERSIZED SWEATERS
It’s sweater season, so it’s time to pull out your coziest sweater. Oversized sweaters aren’t only fashionable, but they’ll keep you warm as the weather gets colder. They look great in stripes or graphics or even just a solid sweater that has a beautiful stitch pattern — even multiple stitch patterns! I like wearing oversized sweaters with something form-fitting like skinny jeans, but lately, I’ve been into making the whole outfit kind of loose with a maxi skirt or wide-leg pants.
WIDE LEG PANTS
Wide-leg pants are so versatile and perfect for this simple-yet-effective look I’m going for. These pants are cool and effortless, and I enjoy playing with the balance of fabrics, like wearing them with a crop top or bandeau top. The contrast is beautiful and it’s a nice intermediary look to wear when the weather’s getting cold, but it’s not too cold yet. if you need to warm yourself up, you can add a cardigan, duster, or blazer and it adds to the Fall-ness of the look.
