How to Style the Pine Wonderland Winter Collection
I’ve been so excited to reveal the Pine Wonderland Collection and it’s finally here! This year has been super busy, but getting these crocheted handmade pieces was a priority of mine. I wanted to go for something classic yet comfortable, with some mod influences.
The main colors were forest green and gold and I kept the color combinations straightforward, which makes the pieces very easy to style I’m very happy about how it turned out and I think it’s my most cohesive collection yet.
The Lorcan Crochet Sweater
The Lorcan Crochet Sweater is kind of the centerpiece of this collection. The green and gold stripes are impactful and I make it bigger so that it’s roomy. The instinct would be to go for something more form-fitting on the bottom like skinny jeans or a skirt with tights, but I like to play around with conventions. I’d go for a more relaxed fit denim, wide-leg pants, or a maxi skirt to really sell the looseness of it. And just because the sweater is striped doesn’t mean that you can’t play around with other patterns. I’ve got some plaid paints that would look great with this. To offset all the looseness, I’d go with a pair of cute flats.
The Treen Crochet Skirt
The great thing about the Treen Crochet Skirt is that it will work well with so many other items. Gray is such a complimentary color, and with it being tonal, it gives the garment a more modern feel. I’d do a striped long-sleeved top. This would also look good with an oversized sweater, or if the weather permits, a bandeau top that pops would look mighty fine. This looks so good with knee-highs and knee-high boots, and a beret for good measure.
The Griffin Crochet Vest
I’ll never get tired of layering and the Griffin Crochet Vest offers so many possibilities for that. I’d want the vest to stand out, so I’d go with a more muted top underneath. A romantic blouse would be just the right pick for this, and the two textures would give the outfit dimension. For the bottoms, I’m feeling like leather would work for this, either pants, or a skirt, and leather boots to give the outfit a sharper edge. Gold jewelry, bracelets and earrings, would bring out the gold of the buttons. It’s the small touches that count.
The Everdales Crochet Tunic Dress
This mod-inspired item is simply stylish. The Everdales Crochet Tunic Dress has a keyhole and it’s a ‘60s throwback that has lasting appeal. Black looks so good with gold and I’d do a black jacket and keep the look simple a dressy shoe like Oxford or a kitten heel. I find that it’s best to lay up the era with relevant pieces. If you’re going to commit, make sure you commit.
The Emrys Crochet Pants
Neutrals look great with this color, and I might do beige and tan for the top, but for the Pine Grove Collection vibe, my go-to would be a gold sweater. It can be oversized or more form-fitting depending on what you're going for. Black or brown ankle boots hit this garment just right, and they’d look good without distracting from everything else.
The Aislinne Crochet Cardigan
The Aislinne Crochet Cardigan breaks up all the color of this collection with the black and white color scheme. What could be a simple cardigan is elevated with a dramatic collar that steals the show. I'd go with a top that really pops for this one, and I'd even go with a striped pattern to add some spectacle. I like the idea of keeping this all black and white with a white faux-fur skirt and black tights. Then harden this up with black boots of any length or soften it up with black flats or dress shoes.
