Top 5 Summer Dresses for 2023
Dresses are some of my favorite clothes to wear in the Summer. They're simple to just throw on and go, and come in a range of styles that show off your personality. Sometimes I like longer maxis, other times, something shorter with less fabric feels best. It's important to have a good selection of styles and colors so when you’re in a dress mood, you don’t feel confined to only a few. By picking a few up here and there, you’ll eventually have an impressive collection, and they’re perfect for so very many occasions.

Maxi Dress
I adore a good maxi dress, especially for my bohemian style. What’s great about having so much fabric is that it gives more opportunity to make a statement with eclectic patterns and a variety of colors because all the fabric makes for a much larger canvas to paint on. They’re nice and flowy, and I often wear sandals with them in the Summer months for a beachy look. Maxis are definitely an essential clothing item.
Frock Dress
If you love comfortable styles, it's hard to get any more comfortable than a frock. This style is so easy and laidback, and yet it's not any less fashionable for it. Small details like ruffles on the hems or sleeves and V-shaped necklines can give this dress more excitement, and there's just something very artsy that I've always liked about them. Wear this look with some flats or strappy sandals and you're good to go!
Halter Dress
If you're going somewhere fancier but still want to feel effortless, a halter dress is just the ticket. It comes in a range of necklines, and since it's backless it's still very much cool for the Summer. You can dress this up or down depending on the footwear, whether you're wanting to go with sandals or heels will make a big difference. A little effort goes a long way. whether you’re going to a nice brunch with friends or a friend’s wedding, a halter dress will do most of the work for you.

It's evident why the sundress is such a perfect dress for the Summer, it was made for it. It's sleeveless, loose-fitting, and has a wide neckline which is just right for those especially hot days. I like when the straps are ruffled and a popping granny square design can make the sundress a showstopper. It's a classic for a reason and a must-have item for the Summer.
Baby Doll Dress
Baby doll dresses are cute, loose, and light. Your legs are unencumbered by fabric so it's especially cool for the Summer. For these dresses, I tend to go brighter and choose solid colors or more subdued patterns. The babydoll dress itself is such a strong fashion statement that you really don't have to work that hard. These can make you look positively leggy and I wear wedges to emphasize that even more.
