A Crafty Spring

Hello there! It’s a beautiful March because it is National Craft Month. The idea to create a flower crochet tote bag, truly inspired me to make a trip to Joann’s to bring the design to Life. Discovered there, brand new Macramé Yarn, that was absolutely perfect for constructing this bag, of which the durability was a key goal. Selecting the color combinations was one of the most enjoyable parts for the first step in placing all the ingredients together. After all of the choices were made, now it the exciting time to travel down the most beautiful Floral aisle, to look through & find a handful to flowers to pair with this Spring inspired design.

The Flower Arrangement Selected from, “Bloom Room”

The construction of the bag was crocheted in a round of 19 STS, all of which it was the method of Single Crochet, for each round (19 total). Decided to split the trio of colors to create a striped look to the design, with doubling up & placing “Craft Cord” for the handles, (in between the last round STS) which offered the concept the sturdiness for hold. Returned back to the first round to attach the bottom open round together, for extra strength for the bag as well.

Creating is such a gift & to retain the opportunity to share the adoration through inspiration, especially for Spring, is such a wondrous experience. Love that there is a place where We all can go that holds all of the magical ingredients to make those handmade dreams come true. Have a Happy & Handmade Spring!

Truly,

  • Ashlee Elle.
