Street Style Meets Handmade
Hello there! Street style fashion has been a passion of mine for a very long time. I love seeing how people put outfits together that show their style & it inspires my own fashion choice. Some are more low-key and casual with it, others are funky and eclectic, while others go for trendy & modern looks. You can go in so many directions with it & that's what makes it so thrilling!
I'm always looking for new ways to incorporate them into my handmade crochet style. Some might assume that the two wouldn't mix, but handmade & street style together can elevate an outfit and create something that feels fresh & innovative. Crochet shouldn't be put into a box of conformity. It's just as versatile as anything else.
Some of the fashion trends I've been into lately are maxi skirts & skirts in general and often pair them with a crop top or a vintage tee. Lately, I've been incorporating my upcycle garments, tops with wide sleeves, or blouses for something that looks even more original. Cargo pants are a throwback & fun in that effortless way, & I'm still on the hunt for cargo skirts to add to my collection.
Denim is always in fashion, & with reimagined denim being such a big thing now, it's inspired me to upcycle denim Dream Duos, which includes denim jackets, skirts, jeans, skirts, & more. Denim is so classic that it can seem a little safe after a while, but denim reimagined gives it the stylish boost it needs.
London street style in 2023 is a total vibe too. This year I've been obsessed with fringe, which adds drama & sophistication to my looks. Fringe can be added to hemlines on skirts & the sleeves of jackets, shirts, & vests. You can never go wrong with tulle & sheer for a soft and romantic presentation, or pair it with denim for a captivating contrast.
What's so cool about street style is that it can incorporate or diverge from trends in a way that's personalized for the individual. You can make up your own rules & that's what fashion should be about.
