Crochet Trends for Fall 2024
Each new season I try to change my wardrobe up to keep things fresh. It helps keep things interesting and challenges me to evolve my style instead of repeating the same style choices over and over again. I’ll freshen up my style, by trying new pieces, new colors, and just come up with new ideas just to see how I truly feel about them. They don’t always work, but I’m always glad that I gave them a try because the process of trying, refines my style.
This season, I’m in a bohemian mood with wide-sleeve tops and wide-sleeve pants, and relaxed fits. Embellishments such as pockets, studs and bows will be incorporated more into the clothes I wear, as well as fluffier yarn for a different lighter texture. Collared tops for a classical vibe will be incorporated and I’m gravitating towards pastel, white, and light colors.. And granny squares will always be utilized-remixing them in even more new & creative ways.
Layering up, is always a favorite go to, a fun add on I love wearing heading into the Fall Season. Adding on a crochet vest, sleeveless sweater, or a cardigan, really offers the look an upgrade, especially if the colors are bold and/or patterned. When you’re starting off wanting to venture into wearing more handmade, I always recommend with starting with these pieces. To build an outfit, layering with a turtleneck/ top underneath to really work you way into the handmade world.
This wide-sleeve mock-neck sweater is a piece that captures the vibe I'm going for.I love that it's cropped because it contrasts the sleeves beautifully, and the orange always makes it feel so Fall.
The use of pastels in for The Faraway Crochet Cardigan gives it a softness and understated beauty. The length of it also works well with the bohemian vibe and the hood is casually cool. For those that want to make it themselves, the pattern is free!
The Astro Duo Crochet Dress/Crop Top is mostly white and remixes classic ideas. Having this granny square pattern with this strip pattern makes the garment stand out in a whole new way. It feels familiar yet different and gives the granny square an interesting spin.
