Incorporating Summer 2023 Street Styles Into Handmade & Everyday Looks
Street style is where I find some of my favorite handmade & creative inspirations. Seeing other fashionable looks gets the creative juices flowing and I imagine the ways in which I can use them in my own special way. It's all about what grabs your attention. This can be items that you already have in your closet or you really haven't worn in a while, or even something completely new that you'd like to add to your wardrobe. The point is to keep an open mind and see what comes to you.
For Summer 2023, there are so many cool street style options. I'm always going to lean towards options that harkens back to the 1990s and denim maxi skirts fit that description. My outfits often give off hippie vibes and maxi skirts are must-haves. Sometimes I wear them frayed on the bottom and other times I'll wear a denim pencil skirt for a form-fitting silhouette. This is a classic statement piece that's easy to rock.
Flowy fashion is in & I couldn't be happier. Business styles that give a more relaxed vibe are a great way to be comfortable and well-dressed. Slouchy suit jackets and wide-leg pants like palazzo pants are a winning combination. I pair them with a simple basic tee with a complementary color or make it more fun with a midriff tank to show some skin underneath all of that fabric.
On the opposite side of formal wear are bubble dresses. Puff-sleeve bubble dresses and bubble hem dresses have that sense of whimsy that I live for. They can be quaint or exciting depending on the color, and the airiness of them makes them the perfect dress for Summer. I'd like to take a bubble dress and make it a Dream Duos by crocheting puff sleeves and the hem to make them more unique. I believe it will truly happen one day.

Poplin shorts are poppin' right now and I need to get some. They're horizontally ribbed and the fabric is durable and lustrous, perfect for that aforementioned flowy fashion. I'd wear this with an oversized button-down, or streamline it with a matching tee. It really all depends on the color and style of the shorts and whether I feel like going for stylistically formal, or breezy and cool. It's hard not to love these inspirations that travel into the Handmade inspiration world.
