My Favorite Crochet Holiday Makes

I love the Christmas season for an assortment of reasons: the family, the friends, the food, and gift-giving. And I also enjoy a good theme to make the season feel that much more jolly. Whether it’s going to a Christmas party or just doing some holiday shopping, I’ll find an excuse to wear Christmas-inspired clothes. I’ve been crocheting them for years now and I’ve come up with some ideas that truly warms my heart. Even during certain years when I’m not in the holiday spirit as much as I want to be, putting on something festive puts me in a better mood.

These were very hard decisions, but I’ve come up with a list of some of my favorite Christmas crochet clothes.

Christmas Crochet Skirts

It's not Christmas without candy canes, so I had to make a candy cane-inspired skirt design. I made them in red, green, and blue, but these will look good in any color. They can be worn with Christmas sweaters, or dressed down with a normal sweater if you want the skirts to stand out by themselves. Either way, you can’t go wrong.

Peppermint Lounge Set

I like being comfy on Christmas morning when I'm giving presents and opening them, and this Peppermint Crochet Lounge Set is the perfect pair. It keeps me nice and warm during the colder months and peppermint is one of my favorite Winter holiday flavors.

Ribbon Sweater

I wear bows throughout the year, but during Christmastime, I make them more festive. This red and green ribbon sweater is a pop of fashionable fun that gives me another option outside of the standard Christmas sweater. The pearl details give it that extra sparkle, which is what you want for this kind of garment. It's good to update your holiday looks just as you would your everyday outfits.

Christmas Tree Sweater

Oh, Christmas tree. Oh, Christmas tree. Decorating the Christmas tree is one of my favorite traditions, so I thought I'd honor that with a Christmas tree holiday sweater. It's half-sleeved and the tree is featured prominently on the front. I'm all for ugly Christmas sweaters, but sometimes I want holiday outfits to look more stylish.

The Grinch Christmas Sweater

How The Grinch Stole Christmas is one of my favorite Christmas movies (the original cartoon movie and the Jim Carrey version) so I had to honor the green guy with a sweater. It's of his face smiling mischievously and wearing a Santa hat, and it’s a good reminder to make sure your heart doesn’t shrink too small. I also made a Pikachu sweater with the little Pokemon tangled in Christmas lights. Thankfully, with his electric abilities, he can light them up without needing an outlet.
